Host plants:
The larvae feed on flowers of Pistacia (especially P. lentiscata).
Habitat:
Eupithecia lentiscata inhabits especially garigues and maquis near the coast.
Life cycle:
The moths occur between January and March. The larvae develop between March and April.
Remarks:
In Europe, the Southern and Southeastern species is so far only known from very few regions, so Corse, Sardinia, Sicily and Samos Island. It should be a bit more widespread in fact (e.g. in the East Egean).
