Host plants:
The larvae feed on Clematis.
Habitat:
In Samos island Coenocalpe millierata inhabits especially open woodlands rich in screes often on the norther slpes of Mount Ampelos up to about 400m where Clematis cirrhosa is abundant. The larvae live usually on plants in the shadow.
Life cycle:
The larvae develop in spring up to May. The moths occur in autumn (especially November).
Remarks:
Coenocalpe millierata occurs along the Spanish and French Mediterranean coast, on Malta, in southern Turkey and in Greece.
