Host plants:
The caterpillar lives on herbs, with clear preference of Fabaceae such as Hippocrepis, Astragalus or Lotus.

Habitat:
Psodos quadrifaria inhabits mountain mats, alpine pastures, loose dwarf-shrub vegetation and vegetation richer rock and scree slopes from around 1400m upwards.

Life cycle:
The moths fly from June to August during the day. The caterpillar overwinters and is found until June or early July.

Remarks:
The range of Psodos quadrifaria covers the Alps (including Bavaria), the Pyrenees, the High Tatras and the Balkans.
