Host plants:
The caterpillar lives on Vaccinium myrtillus (bilberry) and Vaccinium uliginosum (bog berry).

Habitat:
Calliclystis debiliata inhabits coniferous forests, dwarf shrub heaths, bogs and other occurrences of the larval host plant. I found the caterpillars at Schwaebisch Gmuend in a coniferous mixed forest in early May 2012.

Life cycle:
The egg overwinters. The caterpillar lives in April and May (at higher elevations probably until June) between spun, young leaves. The moths fly from late May to early August.

Endangerment factors:
Calliclystis debiliata can also cope with smaller blueberry stocks (e.g. in Schwaebisch Gmuend) and is not likely to be jeopardized at the moment.

Remarks:
Calliclystis debiliata occurs in Europe with the exception of the south (missing in the Mediterranean) quite widespread.
