Host plants:
The larva feeds on Galium sp., especially on Galium aparine.
Habitat:
Costaconvexa centrostrigaria occurs especially in the lowlands (also in medium high altitudes) at road side verges, on fallow land and in forb communities, often quite common.
Life cycle:
Costaconvexa centrostrigaria is on the wing year-round. I observed larvae and adults in Madeira in March 2013 almost anywhere in the lowlands.
Remarks:
Costaconvexa centrostrigaria occurs in North America and is found in Europe only on the Atlantic Islands (e.g. Portugal: Madeira and Azores) and occasionally on the British Isles.
