Host plants:
The larvae feed on Helichrysum species. I recorded them on Helichrysum italicum (Crete, Samos).
Habitat:
Eublemma candidana inhabits maquis, garrigues, woodland edges, olive groves and similar places with host plants.
Life cycle:
The larvae are mature in spring in April and May. They can be beaten from the host plants. The moths fly from late May or June. Literature mentions an additional generation. This is not sure because of summer drought.
Remarks:
TEublemma candidana occurs in Southern Europe and adjacent parts of Asia up to Central Asia. It penetrates quite far to the north in Western France.
