Host plants:
According to own observations (Camargue) the larvae feed on Convolvulus species. According to literature they should be polyphagous.

Habitat:
Grammodes bifasciata most often inhabits wetlands and sandy areas, preferredly near the coast.

Life cycle:
The pupa hibernates. Moths occur in several generations, most often between May and September. Larvae can be found until October or early November.

Remarks:
Grammodes bifasciata occurs in the Palaeotropic region (Asia, Africa), in Australia and S-Europe (to E-Austria in the north).
