Host plants:
The larva is polyophagous on deciduous woods such as Quercus, Betula, Salix or Tilia.

Habitat:
Brachionycha nubeculosa inhabits deciduous or mixed forests and similar woody habitats.

Life cycle:
The adults are on the wing in early spring mainly from late February to early May with peak between March and early April. The larvae occur from late April to early July. The pupae needs partly several winters to emergence.

Remarks:
Brachionycha nubeculosa occurs from France and Scotland across the more central and eastern parts of Europe. It is absent from the Mediterranean and the polar north. In temperate Asia Brachionycha nubeculosa occurs to Japan.
