Host plants:
In the field unknown. Presumably herbaceous plants as Fabaceae, perhaps wilted plant parts. A breeding took place with Trifolium.
Habitat:
Idaea bacalladoi inhabits dry, rocky slopes in the succulent belt. More is apparently not known.
Life cycle:
I met a female in December 2011 in La Gomera on an illuminated building. The flight time is according to literature from the autumn to spring, where several generations are formed. In breeding, the moths appeared in March 2012 (descendants of December 2011).
Remarks:
Idaea bacalladoi is endemic to the Canary Islands (La Gomera, Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, presumably also Gran Canaria).
