Host plants:
The larvae feed polyphagously on ground-near herbs. I found them on Oxalis in the Azores.
Habitat:
Idaea minuscularia is often found near the coast in maquis shrubland, cultivated areas and in villages on buildings and walls.
Life cycle:
Several generations per year, partly year-round.
Remarks:
Idaea minuscularia occurs in SW-Europe (Iberian Peninsula, some Balearic Islands) and NW-Africa. I recorded larvae in the Azores (S. Miguel) where Idaea minuscularia supposedly has been introduced very recently.
