Mythimna languida (Walker, 1858)

Host plants:
The larva feeds on grasses. I found it several times on Hyparrhenia hirta in Cyprus.

Habitat:
Mythimna languida inhabits dry and hot places. In S-Europe it is almost only found in lowlands near the coast.

Life cycle:
Mythimna languida flies in several generations per year. Most probably the larvae devlop in winter in S-Europe. I recorded larvae in Cyprus in late February 2017.

Remarks:
Mythimna languida occurs in Africa and S-Asia and reaches S-Europe (Spain to S-Greece).
