Host plants:
The larvae feed on elms (Ulmus).
Habitat:
Cosmia confinis inhabits various warm habitats with elms. I recorded larvae together with Meganephria bimaculosa along a streamlet with elms.
Life cycle:
The egg hibernates. The larvae are mature in late April or May. The moths occur between late May or June to late July.
Remarks:
Cosmia confinis occurs from NE-Italy across the Balkans to parts of temperate Asia.
