Host plants:
The caterpillar lives on nettle (Urtica dioica).

Habitat:

Life cycle:
Abrostola tripartita flies in a single or two generations (2nd often only partial) from May to August, rarely later. The caterpillars are found mainly between midsummer and autumn. The pupa overwinters.

Remarks:
Abrostola tripartita is widespread and often common in Central Europe. The total distribution extends across Europe and temperate Asia to Japan.
