Host plants:
The larvae feed on Crataegus, perhaps also other woody Rosaceae.
Habitat:
Nychiodes aphrodite inhabits slopes, pastures and open woodland rich in Crataegus bushes.
Life cycle:
The moths occur in several (presumably 3) generations between late April and November. The larva hibernates.
Remarks:
Nychiodes aphrodite is endemic to Cyprus and is found especially above 200m.
