Host plants:
The larva feeds on Ericaceae, especially Erica arborea.

Habitat:
Xenochlorodes nubigena inhabits laurel and heath woodlands and open scrub with Erica.

Life cycle:
Xenochlorodes nubigena is expected to be on the wing all year round in several generations. I met adults and larvae in Madeira quite common in March 2013.

Remarks:
Xenochlorodes nubigena is endemic to Madeira.
