Host plants:
Polyphagous on herbs and dwarf shrubs, but often Fabaceae.
Habitat:
Selidosema plumaria inhabits nutrient-poor grasslands, dry slopes, garigues and similar places.
Life cycle:
The moths occur in one generation between late July and late September/early October. I met them on Rhodes in late September 2013.
Remarks:
Selidosema plumaria occurs especially in SE-Europe from SE-Switzerland (Val Muestair) to Greece, Turkey and the Near East. But there is also some data from Spain. The slightly smaller species can be separated from S. brunnearia with certainty only by genital examination.
