Mesoleuca albicillata (Linnaeus, 1758)

Host plants:
Rubus species, as well as other woody Rosaceae Rosa sp.

Habitat:
Mesoleuca albicillata inhabits forests and sometimes also hedges and scrubland.

Life cycle:
The moths fly from late April to early September, in a single generation or two (peak in sites above 400m above sea level usually in June/early July). The caterpillar lives from late May to early October. The pupa overwinters.

Remarks:
Mesoleuca albicillata is widespread in Europe and temperate Asia.
