Host plants:
The species lives on Impatiens noli-tangere.

Habitat:
Eustroma reticulatum inhabits shady, moist-cool stocks of the larval host plant in forests. It is especially common at about forest streams.

Life cycle:
The pupa hibernates. The moths fly in a single generation from mid-June to early September with a peak between late July and mid-August. The caterpillars are found from August to October. They are very often parasitized.

Remarks:
Eustroma reticulatum is widespread in Europe and temperate Asia. In the south it is more confined to the mountains.
