Host plants:
The caterpillar lives polyphagous on deciduous wood.

Habitat:
Agriopis marginaria colonizes deciduous trees rich habitats of all kinds, especially forests. It occurs up to the inner cities.

Life cycle:
The moths fly from late January to April, depending on weather conditions. The caterpillar lives from April to mid-June.

Remarks:
The distribution extends across large parts of Europe (except for parts of the south and the far north).
