Host plants:
The caterpillar feeds on species of Ribes (gooseberry, currant).
Habitat:
Eulithis prunata inhabits forests, hedge areas, bushy grasslands, stream margins and sometimes settlements as long as the host plant occurs.
Life cycle:
The egg hibernates. The larva hatches in March or early April and is mature in May or early June. The moths fly mainly from June to August.
Remarks:
Eulithis prunata is widespread in Europe and northern and Central Asia.
