Host plants:
The larvae are polyphagous in the herb-layer.
Habitat:
Dyscia simplicaria inhabits open or semi-open, extensively managed landscapes, most often with stones, rocks or open soil.
Life cycle:
The moths occur especially in spring (February to April) and again in autumn (October, November). Between these periods a relative drought-induced break is probable. The larva hibernates (rep. develops over winter). I recorded it already mature above Paphos (600m) in late February 2017.
Remarks:
Dyscia simplicaria is endemic to Cyprus.
