Especially soft plant parts such as flowers, fruits and young leaves.
Habitat:
Poecilimon hamatus inhabits a variety of habitats such as open woodland, maquis, garrigue, embankments etc., which usually have large stands of dwarf shrubs in common, e.g. Cistus.
Life cycle:
Poecilimon hamatus is found as an adult very early in the season (from late April or most often May) and lives until summer drought (July).
Remarks:
Poecilimon hamatus occurs in some east Egean islands like Samos and Rhodes and in adjacent parts of Asia Minor.
