Habitat:
Poecilimon schmidtii inhabits mixed deciduous woodlands. It is most often found on bushes, sometimes also on forbs. I recorded it in SW-Bulgaria in a beech forest with some bushes (e.g. Corylusa avellana) along a forest road at the northern slope of Belasica (above Petrich, app. 1000m asl).
Remarks:
Poecilimon schmidtii occurs in SE-Europe (from about Slovakia to N-Greece), also in Asia Minor.
