Habitat:
Poecilimon thoracicus inhabits luxurious mountain meadows and forb communities. I met it in Bulgarian Pirin mountains in around 2000m asl.

Life cycle:
The adults appear in high altitudes in summer (July to September).

Remarks:
Poecilimon thoracicus occurs in the Balkan Peninsula (south to N-Greece) and in Turkey.
