Nutrition:
Plants, mostly herbs like Asteraceae, Verbascum etc.
Habitat:
Poecilimon gracilis inhabits herbal vegetation at forest edges, at the edge of extensively grazed grasslands and at similar places most often between 1000 and 2000m asl.
Life cycle:
The adults occur from June. They mostly rest on the upper side of the leaves of their often perforated host plants.
Remarks:
Poecilimon gracilis occurs as the most Poecilimon species almost exclusively in the Balkan Peninsula. It is found to the south to the mountains of Northern Greece (Florina, Kastoria) and to the northwest to south Austria.
