Habitat:
Poecilimon brunneri inhabits grasslands, pastures, forb communities, edges, fallow land, open scrub and similar places.

Life cycle:

Endangerment factors:
Poecilimon brunneri is endangered by changes in habitat management (intensification, overbuilding) especially in the northern periphery of its range (Hungary, Serbia).

Remarks:
Poecilimon brunneri occurs in SE-Europe:very locally in Hungary (near Budapest), parts of Serbia, Macedonia, N-Greece, Bulgaria, European part of Turkey, SW- and E-Romania, possibly also SW-Ukraine.
