Habitat:
Chorthippus biroi inhabits most often garrigues, rocky slopes in open woodland or in treeless sites, but also pastures and similar sites.
Life cycle:
The imagines occur in summer and autumn. They should be found until December. Chorthippus biroi is very common in Crete and missed only in coastal habitats in mid-October 2025.
Remarks:
Chorthippus biroi is endemic to Crete and some kykladic islands like Naxos, Andros and Tinos. The exact distribution may even be wider.
