Stenohippus mundus (Walker, 1871)

Nutrition:
The animals feed on grasses.

Habitat:
Stenohippus mundus inhabits semiarid grasslands, rocky slopes with grasses and similar dry and warm places.

Life cycle:
The animals are easily flushed in the sparse grasslands and are usually found year-round.

Endangerment factors:
Stenohippus mundus is endangered by intense agriculture and overbuilding (tourism, industry etc.) in Tenerife Island.

Remarks:
Stenohippus mundus occurs from Tenerife (Canary Islands, Spain) across N-Africa to India.
