Habitat:
Sphingonotus fuerteventurae inhabits various habitats with open soil such as dunes or slopes.

Remarks:
Sphingonotus fuerteventurae is endemic to Fuerteventura and quite common there.

Hints on determination:
Besides the rugose pronotum Sphingonotus fuerteventurae shows a black band on the bluish hind wings as it is typical for the S. azurescens-group.
