Habitat:
Stenobothrus fischeri inhabits gappy and very dry nutrient-poor grasslands.

Remarks:
Stenobothrus fischeri occurs from eastern Austria and Hungary (here only very scarce and local) across the Balkan Peninsula to Greece. A disjunct population group exists in the French Provence-Alpes.
