Habitat:
Stenobothrus graecus inhabits extensively grazed, dry and warm mountainous grasslands, usually with a large portion of rock, from about 800 to 2000m.
Life cycle:
The adults are usually accompanied by the more numerous Stenobothrus fischeri (e.g. Chelmos and Taygetos), but are easily spotted by the different male songs.
Remarks:
Stenobothrus graecus occurs locally on the mountains in central and southern Greece and in parts of Turkey (here ssp. malatyensis Çiplak, 1994).
