Habitat:
The secies inhabits lime screes in medium-high altitudes between 1000 (especially from 1300) and 1900m asl.

Life cycle:
The adults appear between July and October. The are usually found on the ground, but sometimes also climb dwarf shrubs.

Endangerment factors:
Podisma amedegnatoae is partly endangered by tourism which is promoted by the Mont Ventoux mountain road.

Remarks:
The taxon is close to Podisma pedestris and is endemic to the southwesternmost French Alps in departement of Vaucluse (especially on Mont Ventoux).
