Nutrition:
Plants, e.g. thistle leaves.

Habitat:
I observed Eupholidoptera astyla together with Poecilimon cretensis at the north coast of Crete in a only scarcely vegetated area at the sea with thistles, other herbs and dwarf shrubs.

Life cycle:
I met Eupholidoptera astyla already in early May 2013. The adults may live until summer drought.

Remarks:
Eupholidoptera astyla is endemic to Crete (Greece), where 10 species of Eupholidoptera are known.
