Habitat:
Rhacocleis poneli inhabits humid to moderately dry habitats with many forbs, Rubus or similar dense plants. I found it at the margin of a reed-rich ditch with Rubus and forbs.

Life cycle:
The adults appear between early summer and autumn (October). They tend to keep themselves within dense vegetation.

Remarks:
According to present knowledge, Rhacocleis poneli is endemic to Southern France. It is found in the Mediterranean from east Pyrenees to Alpes Maritimes with peak in the departments of Bouches-du-Rhône and Vaucluse. It may be also found in adjacent areas of Liguria (Italy) or Spain (Barcelona) in future.
