Habitat:
Ephippiger discoidalis inhabits mountain pastures, often with dwarf shrubs, grasslands, woodland edges, tall herb communities and similar places between sea level and approximately 2000m asl.
Life cycle:
Adults appear between June and October. They can be found on both the ground and on herbs or small bushes.
Remarks:
The SE-European species occurs especially along the eastern Adriatic coast from Trieste (NE-Italy) to Albania.
