Habitat:
Callicrania plaxicauda inhabits Juniperus-rich pastures and similar transition zones to pine woodland between approximately 1500 and 2000m.
Life cycle:
The adults are usually found on Juniperus bushes. They feed on their needles. Oviposition should occur in the soil as it is the case with related species. I recorded adults in mid-September, but they should live between July and October.
Remarks:
Callicrania plaxicauda is endemic to the Spanish pre-Pyrenees (Lleida) and it is known so far only from a very small area with type location Port del Cantó.
