Habitat:
Corsteropleurus chopardi inhabits various habitats that show at least well-developed bushes (junipers, Arbutus unedo etc.) from the coast up to almost 2000m. It is, however, especially typical for mountainous areas between 500 and 1700m where it often lives within or at the margins of old pine woodland. The imagines often live high in the trees where they feed on the needles and are found only rarely when searching junipers, young pines or Genista.
Life cycle:
The imagines are found in summer and autumn. They are best detected by their song. The larvae, however, live more closely to the ground in the herb and bush layer.
Remarks:
Corsteropleurus chopardi is endemic to Corsica.
