Habitat:
Uromenus brevicollis usually inhabits higher growing Habitats, often rich in shrubs. In Sardinia I recorded it especially in Rubus thickets together with Yersinella raymondi, Sepiana sepium und Eupholidoptera magnifica.
Life cycle:
The adults appear between early summer and autumn, according to the altitude. The males reveal themselves by their characteristic singing (single, sharp sounds).
Remarks:
Uromenus brevicollis occurs in several subspecies in SW-Europe (e.g. Corsica and Sardinia: ssp. insularis Chopard, 1924; Spain) and in N-Africa.
