Habitat:
I met Isophya speciosa quite common in loose Subalpine forb communities on pastures in about 2000m asl in late July and early August 2013. Isophya speciosa also occurs in lower altitudes.

Life cycle:
The animals mostly rest on tall forbs or small bushes (Salix, Juniperus).

Remarks:
Isophya speciosa occurs in the Balkan Peninsula and in Asia Minor.
