Habitat:
Isophya rhodopensis inhabits grasslands and pastures with high portion of herbs and usually also scrub, woodland margins and clearings and mountain slopes.
Life cycle:
In the lowlands Isophya rhodopensis is found in May and June (July), in higher altitudes more in summer and occasionally to September. The male sounds are well audible for humans.
Remarks:
Isophya rhodopensis occurs in S-Bulgaria and NE-Greece in the Rhodope Mountains and adjacent regions in three subspecies: ssp. rhodopensis, ssp. leonorae and ssp. petkovi.
