Habitat:
Eumigus monticola inhabits stony pastures, rocky slopes and open woodland (e.g. pine) between 600 and 3100m.
Life cycle:
The larvae hibernate and are mature in low altitudes already in April or May, but in higher ones not until summer.
Remarks:
Eumigus monticola occurs locally in some mountain ranges of central Andalucia (Spain), i.e. E-Malaga to W-Almeria and Jaen. It is quite common in the Sierra Nevada and adjacent mountains.
