Habitat:
Ctenodecticus thymi inhabits low-growing and gappy, but despite not intensely grazed sites, partly addressable as garrigues. They consist of gappy growth of grasses and low dwarf shrubs, often Thymus.

Life cycle:
The adults appear in summer (June to September/October) and live near the ground within the vegetation. They occur locally, but then not rarely in large densities. They are easily detected by walking through the habitat and carefully looking for the very small fleeing individuals.

Remarks:
Ctenodecticus thymi is endemic to the west Catalonian pre-Pyrenees (Spanish east Pyrenees) between 450 and 1300m.
