Habitat:
Ctenodecticus ramburi inhabits dry moutain slopes and pastures rich in dwarf shrubs (especially Thymus) in medium-high altitudes between app. 500 and 2000m.
Life cycle:
The adults appear especially in summer, but may be still found in autumn. They live on the ground and on low-growing vegetation. They usually flee into the dwarf shrubs when disturbed.
Remarks:
Ctenodecticus ramburi is endemic to SE-Spain and occurs north of the Sierra de baza across the Sierra de Maria to the Sierra de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas where it also penetrates into the province of Albacete.
