Habitat:
Pholidoptera macedonica inhabits mountain slopes with at least partiallly higher growning grasses, stones and dwarf shrubs up to more than 2000m asl.

Life cycle:
The adults appear from late June to October. They normally rest on the ground well concealed by surrounding vegetation and sunbath more freely often only in the morning.

Remarks:
Pholidoptera macedonica occurs in SE-Europe (e.g. Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia, Romania, Macedonia).
