Habitat:
Odontura macphersoni inhabits pastures, garrigues and open woodland rich in bushes like brooms. It occurs from the hills up to the high mountains around 2000m.
Life cycle:
Odontura macphersoni is as typical for the genus already adult in late spring (from April in the lowlands). In the mountains it is found between late May and July. The animals usually live on brooms and goarses, but sometimes also other bushes.
Remarks:
Odontura macphersoni is endemic to the northwestern quarter of the Iberian peninsula. It is found west of Madrid across the Sierra de Guadarrama, Srra. de Gredos, NE-Portugal to the Cantabrian mountains south of Oviedo.
