Habitat:
Gryllomorpha dalmatina inhabits woodlands with recumbent deadwood and stones, natural stone walls, screes in woodlands and historical villages. It can also be found in buildings (e.g. basements).
Life cycle:
The adults appear year-round, but can be recorded especially in autumn (September to November). The animals hide in humid and dark places during daytime (e.g. under stones, deadwoods or in the litter).
Remarks:
The Mediterranean species penetrates north as far as the Southern Alps (Ticino in Switzerland and South Tyrol in Northern Italy)
