Conocephalus kisi Harz, 1967

Habitat:
Conocephalus kisi inhabits both dry and slightly humid edges and fallow pastures and grasslands. I recorded high densities in the transition zone of a small ditch with loose reed to an open dry grassland slope, where also individuals occurred. Important are higher and dense-growing grasses and herbs. These usually dry out in summer.

Life cycle:
The adults occur in summer. I recorded more than 50 adult females and 10 female nymphs in a site in northern Greece in late July 2025. Males missed despite search, but seem to occur in other populations. Thus it may be possible that there are some parthenogenetic (partial or completely?) populations in this species.

Remarks:
Conocephalus kisi occurs in Albania, western Greece (inc. Peloponnese) and in Turkey and Syria.
