Habitat:
Anonconotus baracunensis inhabits Alpine grasslands and pastures with stones, rocky slopes with grassy vegetation, gappy dwarf shrub heathland and similar places.
Remarks:
Anonconotus baracunensis occurs only in a small area in the SW-Alps (Italy/France) in the vicinity of Monte Viso (e.g. also Colle di Baracun, Valle di Carboneri, adjacing Queyras) between 1700-2600m.
Hints on determination:
In the field not clearly to distinguish from A. occidentalis (main character: different titillators). Both taxa show a different distribution.
