Thyatira batis (Linnaeus, 1758)

Host plants:
The caterpillar feeds on Rubus species (Rubus idaeus, Rubus fruticosus agg, Rubus caesius.).

Habitat:
Thyatira batis mainly inhabits forests of all kinds. In addition, it also appears in bushy areas, gardens and other woody habitats.

Life cycle:
Thyatira batis flies in two generations from late April to early September. The caterpillar lives mainly from June to early October on the upper leaf surface. The pupa overwinters.

Remarks:
Thyatira batis occurs from north Africa across Europe and temperate Asia to Japan.
