Habitat:
Ameles spallanzania inhabits dry and warm, richly structurized habitats like bushy pastures and grasslands, forb communities (e.g. thistles), fallow land, woodland margins etc.
Life cycle:
The adults appear in the south already in spring (Crete: late April 2013), otherwise more in summer. They rest on higher herbs and on bushes.
Remarks:
Ameles spallanzania is widespread in the whole Mediterranean.
